Nomad insurance, checked against your trip

Nomad insurance is sold on price, but people get caught out by the small print: who is allowed to buy it, how long it lasts, what happens when you go home, the US, your laptop. Answer a few questions and we will set nine policies' own terms against your answers. It is information, not advice.

Add your age, and every policy is checked here.

This is information, not advice. We are not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority, we do not recommend any policy, and we do not sell insurance. The page sets each policy's published terms against your answers so you know what to ask and what to read. Check the full policy wording with the insurer before you buy. Every point comes from the insurer's own pages or policy wording, linked under each policy, read on 4 October 2026. Policies change, sometimes several times a year, and the wording you are sold is the one that counts.

How it sorts. Policies that fit with no catches first, then those with the fewest catches, then those that do not fit, then those not sold where you live. Never by price, and never by commission.

Prices. Most of these insurers only quote through a form, so we show a price only where the insurer publishes one, with what it assumes. Your price will depend on your age, where you live and where you are going. Converted amounts use today's exchange rate.

What it does not cover. Every condition of every policy. Not checked: World Nomads US's age limit and deductible, Heymondo's insurer and waiting period, IMG's US cover and sports exclusions. SafetyWing's main page gives no medical limit for Complete; its Complete page says US$1.5 million a year. World Nomads UK's policy wording and website give different age limits and baggage limits. Where the terms we read did not answer a point, it is marked as not checked and counted as a catch.
