Tiqets

The only one here that is not really a tour marketplace. Tiqets sells admission — timed entry to museums, galleries and landmarks, instant to your phone, working offline, with nothing to print. That is a different errand from booking a guided tour, and on a Saturday in a city you have just moved to it is usually the one you actually want. It is now owned by Expedia. The thing to watch is that it makes no promise about price, and for state museums with cheap official tickets you can pay noticeably more than the door.

The review

Everything else on this page is a marketplace for experiences with a guide attached. Tiqets sells tickets to get in somewhere, which is a different task and often the more useful one.

It covers more than a thousand cities across sixty-odd countries with about three thousand venue partners, in seventeen languages. The tickets arrive on your phone immediately, they work offline, and nothing needs printing — which sounds trivial until you are standing outside a museum without a signal. Expedia agreed to buy the company in December 2025, which should mean stability, though new owners do tend to reshape partner programmes eventually.

The caution is price. Tiqets publishes no best-price guarantee and no parity clause. Independent testing found it adds no visible booking fee at checkout, which is good, but for a state museum where the official ticket is a few euros, buying through any reseller can cost a good deal more than the door. For a big attraction with timed slots and long queues the convenience is usually worth it. For a cheap municipal gallery, check the venue’s own site first. Cancellation varies by listing rather than being a platform rule, so read that line before booking.

What works

  • Built for museum and attraction admission, not tours
  • Instant mobile tickets that work with no signal
  • Over 1,000 cities across more than 60 countries
  • Nothing ever needs printing
  • Its affiliate programme states there are no traffic minimums

What does not

  • No best-price guarantee of any kind
  • Cheap official museum tickets can cost noticeably more here
  • Cancellation is set per product, not as a platform default
  • Thin outside the major cities
