Activities review

Klook

The one for Asia, and not by a small margin — its own filing to American regulators puts 86.6% of transaction value with customers in the Asia-Pacific region. What makes it worth a place here for anyone, though, is everything it sells around the activity: metro passes, airport transfers, rail passes, ferries and eSIMs. When you have just landed somewhere and need a transit card before you need a walking tour, nothing else on this page does that job. Cancellation is its weak point, with no platform-wide window and a middle tier that needs a human to approve your refund.

The review

Klook filed to list in the United States in November 2025, which means its numbers are unusually well evidenced for this category. Around 310,000 offerings, 4,200 destinations, sixty-five million experiences booked in a year — and 86.6% of transaction value coming from customers in the Asia-Pacific region. That last figure is about where its customers live rather than where they travel, but either way the conclusion is the same: this is the Asian platform, and outside Asia it is a challenger at thirteen per cent of its business.

The reason to keep it installed wherever you are is the rest of the catalogue. Alongside tours and attraction tickets it sells train tickets, rail passes, airport transfers, airport trains and buses, metro passes and cards, ferries, car charters and eSIMs. For somebody who has just arrived in Tokyo, Seoul, Taipei or Bangkok, the transit card and the airport transfer are the first two purchases, and Klook is the only thing on this page that sells them.

The weakness is cancellation. There is no standard window: each activity is free, conditional or non-refundable, and “conditional” means a person at Klook decides whether you get your money back. Check that line on the listing before you book, particularly for anything expensive.

What works

  • Far and away the strongest across Asia-Pacific
  • Sells metro passes, airport transfers and rail passes too
  • eSIMs and travel essentials alongside the tickets
  • Takes bookings in 43 currencies with no handling fee of its own
  • Vouchers save to the app and work without a signal

What does not

  • No platform-wide free cancellation window; it is set per activity
  • Its middle cancellation tier needs support to approve a refund
  • Only 13% of its business comes from outside Asia-Pacific
  • Publishes nothing about its affiliate terms
