The review
Saily is Nord Security’s eSIM, from the people behind NordVPN, and it is the one we would put on a laptop-carrying traveller’s phone first.
The reason is hotspot. Most of this page is bought by people who will tether a laptop to it for a working day, and Saily is the only one of the five to say flatly that there is no limit on sharing. Its unlimited plans are honest too: three gigabytes a day at full speed in Europe, five in the USA, then everything after that at up to a megabit. That is slow, but it is a published number, which is more than Holafly offers.
Two things to weigh against it. It is the youngest product here, and the complaints that recur are about coverage in countries off the main routes rather than about the company. And the ninety-nine-cent phone number, while genuinely useful, is sometimes detected as an internet number, so do not rely on it for bank verification codes.
What works
- No hotspot restriction at all, stated outright
- Publishes its daily full-speed limits rather than hiding them
- Real US number with two-way calls and texts for $0.99 a month
- Ad blocking and malicious-site filtering included free
- Best review profile here: 4.7, with only 3% one-star
What does not
- Launched in 2024, so the least proven of the five
- Coverage complaints cluster in less-travelled countries
- Unlimited plans drop to 1 Mbps after the daily allowance
- The phone number is sometimes read as VoIP and fails bank 2FA
