VPNs & Security review

NordVPN

The fastest here, and the one to buy if a bank or an employer needs to see the same IP address every time: a dedicated IP is a few dollars a month in twenty-seven countries, including Turkey. Its obfuscated servers are inside the scope of its Deloitte assurance work, which is better corroboration than most rivals manage. It also prints its renewal price on the pricing page, which sounds like faint praise until you notice Surfshark does not. That renewal is the catch. At $139.08 a year it is the dearest on this page, and it is explicitly non-refundable.

  • From $139.08 / a year after the first term

The review

NordVPN is the one everybody has heard of, and for this audience it earns the attention on one specific feature: the dedicated IP.

Shared VPN addresses are used by thousands of people at once, which is why banks lock accounts and employer systems refuse logins. A dedicated IP is the fix, and Nord sells one in twenty-seven countries, Turkey included, for a few dollars a month. Proton only offers that on a business plan at ten times the price, and Mullvad refuses on principle. If your problem is that your bank stops trusting you the moment you leave the country, this is the page entry to read.

The pricing deserves plain speech. The advertised $3.49 a month is $94.23 taken in one go for twenty-seven months. After that it is $139.08 a year, and Nord’s own refund policy says a renewal is never refundable. To their credit that renewal figure is printed on the pricing page, which is more than some rivals manage. Also worth knowing: Nord Security owns Surfshark too, so picking one over the other is not the diversification it appears to be.

What works

  • Dedicated IP in 27 countries for a few dollars a month
  • Fastest of the five in the one 2026 lab test we found
  • Obfuscated servers included in the Deloitte audit scope
  • Prints its renewal price on the pricing page
  • Panama, outside the Nine and Fourteen Eyes arrangements

What does not

  • $139.08 a year on renewal, the dearest here
  • The renewal itself can never be refunded
  • A 2018 server breach was disclosed six months after they knew
  • Its parent company also owns Surfshark, so the two are not alternatives
